Whatever business you’re in it can be hard to motivate yourself. Luckily there are people out there who are happy to share their wisdom and provide insight to help you on your way. One such person is Mark McGuinness who is a creative business coach (and poet). He runs an excellent blog called Wishful Thinking and his latest E-book is free to download. It’s a great read if you’re feeling a bit uninspired or wondering how to get the most from your own creativity, or the creative types you work with.
It’s interesting stuff to think about. I found a few good videos about motivation amongst the dirge on YouTube. One is an interview with American choreographer and writer Twyla Tharp who it turns out is also a proponent of using online video to archive dance and performance. (Something I’ve had many conversations about with my telematic friends at body>data>space). Twyla is interviewed by Beet.tv who say “I believe that the implications of the revolution in online video are far more significant than the temporal entertainment and information we consume. All this video is becoming an archive, a collective legacy of our society and times — for better or for worse.” I’ll second that!

Thanks Sarah, much appreciated. Your blog is coming along nicely.
