Junior Web Developer/ Webcasting Assistant

Kinura, a creative web video agency that specialises in live webcasting, is looking for a junior technical developer. This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to a growing company and learn many new skills relating to live internet broadcasting and online video communications.
The company is open to flexible working. We have office space in Colchester and many of our team work independently from London, Brighton and Sweden. Therefore the role could be fulfilled remotely, with proximity to South East England being necessary for training, regular meetings and clients’ events.
The ability to work independently and be happy talking directly to customers is essential. You’ll be expected to work on your own initiative and learn fast. Our clients are publishers, conference and events companies, web agencies and arts organisations – so you’ll be working on a diverse range of projects.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with an innovative digital media company and work in a fast-moving sector that encompasses TV, film, events, publishing, e-Learning and corporate communications.
The Role
Essential
- Educated to degree level
- Basic filming and video editing skills
- Understanding of web development/design softwares
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail
- Cheerfulness
Desirable
- Ability to install, edit & extensively customise WordPress templates/CSS skills
- Flash CS3/4, ActionScript 2.0 / 3.0, basic PHP
- Image processing & manipulation (Photoshop)
- General CMS systems experience
- Experience of working with corporate clients
- Understanding of Organic SEO and PPC optimisation and techniques
- Experience with Web 2.0 and managing WebTV channels
- Understanding of usability/ accessibility testing
Salary
£14k – £17k depending on experience.
